A breath of fresh air.

Hello strangers : ) I'm back from what seems like an infinite holiday in Cornwall, feeling relaxed, summery and addicted to ice cream. It was a break full of contrasts really, sunshine and rain, health and glutton [a banana balances out all unhealthiness in my book] but all in all it was great to go back to one of our favourite parts of England and see that nothing's changed. It's always comforting to be able to go somewhere familiar, and whilst I'd love nothing more than to hop on board a plane to anywhere in the Med right now, spending some lazy days with the family in non other than sunny England seemed to be just what the Dr ordered.

We walked, we tootled along country lanes, watched films and read books [which for me was a rekindling of love for my childhood favourite Stargirl. I'm not even ashamed....much] and I finally got a chance to do my nails a la Gem. Basically it was one big pause, a chance to stop the ride, chill out and forget about everything before starting to climb that last hill this term. I'm so ready to let go of it all, stick on my shades and dance around to this...

...bring on the sunshine!

I've been hearing good stuff about cornwall this week; everyone seems to have been there or they are there! Your blog is lovely by the way, inspired me to do the marble nails! It's messy but it looks pretty weirdly awesome. I agree about the fruit to balance out the bad stuff. I had 3 chocolates the other day and then an apple! It's all good.

That looks like a fabulous week, the sun, the fooood, and those nails are gorgeous. Glad you had a lovely trip away, refreshed and ready to kick off again. 45 more days until I'm done and now 55 days until my holiday. All these trips are only serving to intensify my need to count down to my own.

Looks and sounds like a lovely little escape! Apparently my family is from Cornwall, a couple of centuries ago. Just putting it out there, haha. I loved Stargirl when I was younger as well, it's a lovely book.

Really wonderful photographs. The weather is so glorious at the moment that I cannot help but wonder when the bubble will burst! Make the most of it while it's here eh? I walked around our local botanical gardens today, burying my head in the blossom trees. One bee wasn't very happy and I got chased...

Alas, I cannot find it :(
