Oh Deer

Just in case you hadn't realised from my endless moaning on twitter [sorryy!!] this week is becoming one manic rush. There's a dissertation to be done, as well as three essays, and now some tutors are harping on about revision.

Exams? You want me to think about revision as well?

The relaxed attitude I took towards reading week is definitely catching up with me now, although I'd be stupid to regret taking a week off. Take that University regulation
[she says as she whimpers at the thought of missing deadlines].

At the moment, I'm pretty much alternating between pyjamas and scruffy clothes. Style seems a laughable concept in light of word counts and e-submissions, and I can usually be found hunched over my laptop shivering in a cosy but yeti-fying dressing gown. I look dead attractive. Emphasis on the dead.

Before all this mess of disorganisation, I actually looked fairly human, and managed to go out and y'know, do human things like seeing friends and shopping. Now I manage to utter vague sounds of acknowledgement to housemates, who I seem to pass only in desperate searches of food.

Anyway, it was back in those days of normality, of social life and shopping trips, that I managed to spend a ridiculous amount of money in Primark...

...that ellipsis? That was me in regret.

But never mind. It got me this rather nice deer printed man-tee which, after seeing Harry Potter only a few days ago, is now failing to remind me of anything but patronuses.

I wore it for an evening of trashy TV and chip-shop snacks with one of my best friends back home, and was ashamed to realise that everything I had on had been brought in that one shopping spree. EVERYTHING.

Never mind hey? My recent lockdown has certainly done wonders for the bank balance, and at least I was prepared enough for this onslaught to take some outfit pictures before my return. My priorities are definitely sorted ;)

Oh deer indeed.

Great outfit - love that bag!
I know how you feel, in those situations I actually feel like going to the library in my pyjamas just so I don't have to bother taking time out of my day to get dressed!!

Good luck with everything!! Remember: not long left!

I definitely understand about scruffy clothes, but being cosy is always good as well. (Although, I might get kicked out of the fashion blogging world for what I look like today, hehe).

Oooh, you look pretty in your picture. The t-shirt is lovely and defintiely remeinds me of patronuses now that you mention it. Also, your lip colour looks fab.

Good luck with the dissertation/revision. It's still quite fresh in my own memory so I certainly don't envy this part of being a student. I'm sure you'll be fine though! Lotsa luck!

And there I was thinking it was just me in final year hell, dressed predominantly in jersey trousers and my uni hoody.

Good Luck, keep baking, and keep telling yourself it will all be worth it in the end!

Great post,

Reminds me of my final year when partying and shopping trips were taken over by dissertation dates and essays.
Just think of D-Day.

Great blog, I'm now following - feel free to have a little look at mine.
