Tuesday Choons

This week's tunage comes from indie three piece Irish band Two Door Cinema Club. Not to be confused with Bombay Bicycle Club, although their shared six syllable, ending-in-club formula is clearly working.

Two Door Cinema Club ~ so called due to a common mispronunciation of their local film theatre: Tudor Cinema

I want to shout about these lovely lads from the rooftops - their music is so happy-go-lucky and carefree, it's pretty darn refreshing. But it's for that exact reason that harping on about them for three paragraphs just doesn't seem right.

So what would represent them tactfully in a blog post I hear you ask?

Why, quick and carefree bullet points of course. So here are three reasons why you should listen to Two Door Cinema Club. I'll let you figure out the million others for yourself...

  • They make weirdly wonderful videos, a la...

  • Aaaand they put cats on their album covers.
Oh come on, you'd just be cruel not to pick this one up in HMV.

And if you're still not convinced, give Something Good Can Work a listen. It's the first song of theirs I heard and it's a beaut.

Something good can work indeed. If it involves three talented musicians, a mispronounced cinema, and sparkling cats. Winning formula right there.
