I know this might look like a bit of a cop-out, I mean, I've posted oreo truffle recipes here twice before.
But everything's justified when it comes to seasonal kitsch right?
Right.
I used the usual truffle recipe, but replaced milk chocolate with Aero-orange [Terry's would be just as tasty, albeit about ten times the price] to give them a new flavour and orange hue, and used a cocktail stick to carve pumpkin-like indentations. The stalks were just a lucky discovery from our cupboard, but any old sugar strands or icing would do nicely I'm sure.
Or even green smarties. And shucks, you'd just have to find something to do with the rest of the packet. [hint. it starts with E and ends in AT]
They may not be the prettiest pumpkins around, but they sure taste way better than the actual-pumpkin soup I just made.
There's soupy nice, and then there's chocolatey nice.
Incomparable.
