KLOMP

I've never been stereotypically 'girly'.

Admittedly, I love florals, couldn't live without my lippy and have developed a potentially disordered obsession of painting my nails almost daily.

But, if I'm honest, 'girly' is never gonna happen in my world.

I tower over most of my female friends, am clumsy, flat-footed and....klompy.

I klomp. And guys, no matter how many frills and florals you chuck at me, you can be sure I'll just klomp my way rather ungracefully out of any suggestion of prettiness or femininity.

And so it's become second nature to me to always counteract any element of 'girlishness' in my outfit with suitably klompish things. Be it floral or flouncy, flowing or sheer, it's a given that I'll automatically pair it with an oversized grandad jumper or heavy, leather-clad worker boots.

Which is pretty much what I did today. This dress, though beautiful, is sheer, peach and floaty; a triad that, in my eyes, was a deafening beckon for a  years-old greying denim shirt, should've-been-thrown-out-by-now tights and proudly scuffed up walking boots.

Klompiness restored.

Although I'm not very tall I definitely relate- the amount of times I fall over my feet is unreal, bloody uneven paving! The floaty dress is gorgeous, I love clashing delicate things with something more klompy as you say :) xx

Love the dress :)
Klompy is good! I'd love to be tall but unfortunately I can't get away with klompy as my legs are really short so I just look silly!

I love that dress! It's so pretty. I love pairing girl dresses with more edgy boots as well. It's a great combination.

The dress looks great how you've paired it with the shirt and boots for a bit of a harder edge! x

Hha I have a similar problem. No matter how gracful I try to be, I'm just a massive klutz, a walking disaster zone.
Love the colour of this dress against your shirt, and paired with your worker boots - perfect balance of feminine and toughness xx

Klompy is definitely in! I love how you have toughened up the dress, I always try to do the same when faced with something to girly. xx

Love that dress - i'm a bit of a clomper too. If i'm wearing a pretty dress have to wear my boots with them or in my head it don't look right.

Oh I adore that dress on you! Danni, you look so pretty, the pink lipstick is really pretty on you. Also, it looks like you'll be able to pick up a bubble tea when you're shopping in the bullring soon yay!

I know what you mean about a complete inability to be girly. I love pretty floral dresses and heels... but I put them on and just want to get back into my boots and big jumpers.

You look stunning in this outfit! I love the layered necklaces :) xxx

There isn't much to say except that I love this. I'm not so much a klomper, but I am so not one of the girls, no matter what I wear or whether I like lipstick.

I like the contract between girly and grungy :)

I'm not overly girly either and really like how you've paired the dark bleach shirt with the floaty dress :)

These photos are so gorgeous. Rather jealous of your skills with a camera now! Love how you made this dress look much less girly even though I am a total girl when it comes to dressing myself xx

I can be pretty Klompy too, always love pairing my Doc Martens with a pretty dress. I love how you've made this dress versatile as I always tend to wear 'daytime' clothes for going out, so it's great to see you've done this in reverse. Loving the pics too, you've got some great photography skills!
