Hakuna matata

// Jacket ~ Primark // Trousers ~ Topshop // Bag ~ Ollie & Nic //

Monday of this week marked the arrival of a belated but pretty darn awesome birthday present. One of my longest friends decided that, to celebrate my birthday this year, she'd treat me to a bit of a day trip. Now that I'm on the wrong side of twenty and all, a day out in the sunshine suits me fine. Give me ice cream over Vanilla Ice anyday.

Wait...did I just make a Vanilla Ice reference? God I really am getting old.

// Feather clip [worn on necklace] ~ Primark //

Anyway we spent the day driving around in the sunshine, drifting through grassy plains and meeting some....interesting characters.

Any ideas?

No, didn't think so. It was the Safari Park!
If you're from the Midlands you'll know all about this so I won't bore you with details, but I will show you some of the beautiful faces we became aquainted with - some of them fancied themselves as quite the models I think you'll agree...

Quite.

I don't know how so many of them managed to nail that sidewards mouth-goof pose, but they certainly had it down to a tee. After two hours of animal-slalem, plenty of snaps and even more giggles we decided to round off the day with a big fat Harvester sundae.

A sundae on monday... that's just how we roll.

west midlands safari park? I went there as a kid and LOVED it.

(is that the same place?)

LOVE those trousers on you, how long are your legs?! Amazing.

And oddly enough, (and this may come as a shock to you) one of my memories from that place is a giraffe standing legs splayed over the car...

Such a good idea to use the feather clip as a necklace! I study in Birmingham and have never even heard of WM Safari Park let alone been there...clearly I pay attention to what's around me in my local area....

There were definitely some posers in those pics! I've been to Midlands Safari before and I love driving past all the animals, although I do not appreciate them sticking their slobbery heads in my car! Haha!
That ice cream pic has made me crave a knickerbockerglory!

Oooh! I've not been to the Safari Park in years haha, my dad used to get really annoyed with the chimps that would jump on the roof of the car and mess with the wiper blades! Also, you look lovely!
