This is what I looked like today for a trip into....wait for it....Asda. I know, I know, I really need to tone down this rock 'n' roll lifestyle of mine.
Although, if I'm being honest, this is more what I looked like for said supermarket rave-up...
Firstly, the Eskimo coat because, frankly, those freezers are COLD. And secondly, that cheesy beam of a smile because, well, I've had some lovely news from Yayer.
If you've read the blog before you might remember a little post I did in aid of their competition, and I found out this morning that I'd won! After reading and re-reading Frassy's tweet, I made a quick scramble for the door [and by scramble I mean tripping over this darn wheely computer chair and scratching hand on the door handle. Smooth] and told mama all about it.
Cue inaudible screams of yay! and WOO, as well as us both jumping around the hallway like loons.
No, really. It can only have looked like we were kids at a birthday party, having had too far too many blue smarties and not realising we were missing a bouncy castle.
Anyways, I just wanted to say a massive thank you to Yayer and Frassy for organising the competition in the first place and picking through the entries, and to the other four finalists who have all been real sweethearts and who, if I'm honest, I truly never thought I'd stand a chance against- their blogs and competition entries are all fantastic.
So yes, normalcy resumed and we went for a quick zoom around Asda with me grinning like a complete numpty and not really caring if we actually got the stuff on the list or not. But we did, and i'm now well stocked for a few Fat Fridays :)
What a complete shambles of a post. Although, pretty reflective of the crazy excitedness going on in my brain at the moment. I'll continue in this random, all-over-the-place spirit [as if i don't act like this daily] by now asking if anyone can recommend a nail varnish for me.
Again, really. I bought this necklace t'other day and really want a nice nail varnish in a similar colour..sort of a green/yellow hybrid. Mmm...sounds like it might have the tendency to look like some ill-fated disease, so yeah, if anyone can point me in the right [i.e. non-bogey coloured] direction then please feel free.
OVER AND OUT.
